  • Biography: Glenn Collinge-Bio FSR Glenn Collinge is the Regional Sales Manager for FSR Inc, an American manufacturer of audio visual, IT and electrical Infrastructure products. His expertise includes installation, design and support of FSR products, as well as live performance technical director and engineer since 1981. He has also taught numerous classes for AIA, InfoComm, NSCA and BICSI certified renewal classes for FSR since 2001. His current responsibilities at FSR include assisting customers with systems designs, sales and support for education, corporate, medical, government and house of worship applications.

Levels of Finish and How to Achieve Level 5

This 1-hour presentation identifies the various levels in which gypsum board surface is finished for the particular board application and final decoration. Each level of finish is defined per ASTM C840 and presented in discussion, details and samples to establish a clear visualization of these levels of board finish. A new and extraordinary “level of finish” is introduced and examined as a “Basis of Specification” for your more demanding design and board finish requirements.

This in-depth presentation on fire-retardant treated wood (FRTW) focuses on its characteristics, properties, and performance in a fire as well as its preparation, treatment, inspection, and labeling. Fire tests, standards, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification in LEED projects and building code requirements related to FRTW will be covered. Details and examples will be provided on where FRTW is used and what impact it's use has on construction and insurance costs.In addition, International Building Code sections referencing fire-retardant treated wood will be discussed. Technical literature will be provided to all attendees.
