Objectifs d'apprentissage

1. How to introduce wood structure and biogenic material alternatives at the proper level of detail in schematic design. 2. How to identify unique project characteristics which may favor timber options. Introducing them to client and construction management teams will be taught with reference to precedent-setting projects that optimized wood’s capabilities in fire resistance, seismic, challenging soil conditions, and lateral bracing performance. 3. How to incorporate new components and materials into traditional assemblies, placing your firm’s innovation within IBC2021 “tall wood” code trends or potential alternate code approaches within the adoption timeline of your jurisdiction. 4. How to optimize the level of design assist, by using free BIM-integrated tools that are being created and improved in support of all biogenic material options.
