Good webinar on EPD's. More webinars on EPD's, the types and variations on information include would be great. Most firms just don't have the resources to invest in the time it takes to vet and compare EPD information and make informed decisions regarding product selection. I think the desire is there, but more education is needed across the design and construction industry in order for smaller firms to be able to use EPD assessment as a design tool.

This is a very detailed driven presentation. I understand what goes into the creation of an EPD, but realize you can get in the weeds quick trying to select a "best" product when comparing two EPD's. Lot of time required just to select 1 product for a project.

It was great to finish the Transparency in the North American Sustainable Building Industry the Case of Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). I learned a lot about environmental transparency and optimization regarding building products. For sustainable buildings constructed today, it is important to new concepts regarding the requirements for building materials such as disclosure and optimization of material ingredients (Health Product Declarations® (HPDs), GreenScreen® For Safer Chemicals, Cradle-to-Cadle Certified™ products, etc.), and, disclosure and optimization of building products environmental impacts with Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
